A) Product Order Code
The product order code of a HIDE Kit represents the product, size and depth. For instance, the HDC314-30 is a HIDE Drain Cover, 314mm square and suits infill materials 25mm to 32mm in thickness. (30mm nominal)
B) Material Depth
Choosing the right HIDE Kit starts with knowing the depth of your chosen material to be infilled into the cover.
From the Material Depth column (B), choose a HIDE Kit that will suit the thickness of your material.
C) Infill Cover Size
The HIDE Infill Cover, one of two 316 stainless steel components in the HIDE Kit, securely holds your chosen surface material for a seamless finish. It lifts easily to provide discreet access to the drain below. See the installation instructions for more detail.
D) Infill Cover Internal Depth
This dimension determines the maximum thickness of your infill material, including any adhesive layer, that will fit flush within the cover. Adhesive is supplied in the kit, along with a 2 mm acrylic packer (Height Adjuster) that can be used to help achieve a perfect flush finish.
E) Frame Size
The Frame Size (E) refers to the overall external dimensions of the frame, which is the second 316 stainless steel component in the HIDE Kit. This measurement defines the total footprint of the kit and is used to determine the required recess size in the surrounding surface. Accurate frame sizing ensures a precise fit and a seamless integration with the chosen inlay material.
F) Frame External Depth
The frame’s External Depth is greater than that of the infill cover. This extra depth means the bedding or substrate beneath the frame must be recessed during installation to accommodate the frame’s profile. Correct preparation ensures the frame sits flush with the surrounding surface, providing a precise fit and maintaining the overall seamless finish of the HIDE Drain Cover.
G) Frame Access Opening
The Access Opening is the clear space within the frame, allowing water to flow freely and enabling access to the drain pipe or pit below. When selecting your HIDE Access Cover Kit, consider this measurement along with the cover depth to ensure it suits your installation.
